This should be a post about how my daughter turned eighteen, about how much I love her, about how proud I am of her, about how incredibly blessed I know…
There are lots of firsts here. Voyager Cap is my first pattern to knit by Alexandra Tavel, or Two of Wands. It’s like a classic beanie with a little extra…
I recap my trip to DFW Fiberfest, show some hand dyed yarn from Barker Wool, Must Stash Yarn, Suburban Stitcher, Brooklyn Tweed, Miss Babs, and A Thing for String. I also talk about the awkwardness of a Podcaster’s meetup and my Grotine shawl. Lastly, I share your thoughts about creative theft online.
Episode 65 is all about your thoughts on stash busting and big yardage projects. I talk about yarn no-buys, why-buys, and buy-less (es)?

oooh you're making paulie!! how did i miss that? that sweater is on my list too!! 🙂 i love the color combination you're making it in.
Severian, this one is on everyone's list, I think. And every single finished Paulie on Ravelry looks really good!
hmmm i just can't decide which sweater i want to knit first, caramel or paulie. since it would be my first sweater-project, i'm thinking caramel… no button holes and the construction looks easier. but paulie is sooo cute.
I see what you mean, Severien. Caramel is easier to knit w/o buttonholes and if you don't carry the CC yarn along the side, but Paulie is still really straight forward. I think I'd go for the one I can envision myself feeling most excited to say, " This is my first sweater ever! " about. It's kind of sentimental. I think mine was Big Sack Sweater, and I am still so proud of it and wear it because it's a classic design.
