Show notes and links for Episode 48: Summer Knits Roundup where I list all the coolest summer knit sweaters and a crochet tote while discussing quarantine life in the most positive way possible, and general weirdness.
I had high hopes of taking interesting photos of this sweater while on hiking vacation in The Grand Tetons. But just because I am surrounded by landscape that’s beautiful, it…
Did you see it!?! For a few beautiful days I was the center of the universe… the knitting universe of Ravelry that is. Well, the Oud Tank I knit was,…
I’ve now read through the first three sweater recipes in Knitting Without Tears by Elizabeth Zimmerman for the Canary Knits Knitting Book Read-a-long. Unlike the first time I read this book, I totally…

oooh you're making paulie!! how did i miss that? that sweater is on my list too!! 🙂 i love the color combination you're making it in.
Severian, this one is on everyone's list, I think. And every single finished Paulie on Ravelry looks really good!
hmmm i just can't decide which sweater i want to knit first, caramel or paulie. since it would be my first sweater-project, i'm thinking caramel… no button holes and the construction looks easier. but paulie is sooo cute.
I see what you mean, Severien. Caramel is easier to knit w/o buttonholes and if you don't carry the CC yarn along the side, but Paulie is still really straight forward. I think I'd go for the one I can envision myself feeling most excited to say, " This is my first sweater ever! " about. It's kind of sentimental. I think mine was Big Sack Sweater, and I am still so proud of it and wear it because it's a classic design.
