So this is how that beautiful woven-like border looks after blocking. It’s Libby Jonson’s Settler Shawl pattern. I think this border was one of the neatest things I’ve ever knit….
I finished Sunset Highway, by Caitlin Hunter, like a month or two ago. I know you’ve seen a thousand million of them so why read further? Because I said so. You…
I’ve kind of been avoiding sifting through my thousands of tree pictures from our road trip, so here’s the Clapotis scarf by Kate Gilbert that I made while driving. Since…
This is a fun little video where I flip through Ashleigh Wempe’s Mosaic Knitting Workshop book, talk mosaic knitting vs intarsia, and show my Saguara Sunset Afghan progress- perfect use of Mandala Ombre yarn. I share what I like about the book and how to win a copy in my giveaway.
Here’s an ancient draft I thought I’d finally publish: DIY pet clocks. I made these as Christmas gifts for several members of my family. They went over very well. My…

oooh you're making paulie!! how did i miss that? that sweater is on my list too!! 🙂 i love the color combination you're making it in.
Severian, this one is on everyone's list, I think. And every single finished Paulie on Ravelry looks really good!
hmmm i just can't decide which sweater i want to knit first, caramel or paulie. since it would be my first sweater-project, i'm thinking caramel… no button holes and the construction looks easier. but paulie is sooo cute.
I see what you mean, Severien. Caramel is easier to knit w/o buttonholes and if you don't carry the CC yarn along the side, but Paulie is still really straight forward. I think I'd go for the one I can envision myself feeling most excited to say, " This is my first sweater ever! " about. It's kind of sentimental. I think mine was Big Sack Sweater, and I am still so proud of it and wear it because it's a classic design.
