Road Trip Knit

I’ve kind of been avoiding sifting through my thousands of tree pictures from our road trip,
so here’s the Clapotis scarf by Kate Gilbert that I made while driving.   Since I’m trying to get rid of yarn this year and make all of the patterns I’ve been saving for years, this was a good choice.
I used the same sock yarn I’d bought for the Weho bikini.  Ughh.
I saw the pattern on Knitty forever ago and have been meaning to try it ever since.
It’s lightweight, which is nice for fall in Texas.
Yes, my hair is crazy.
I liked this pattern so much, I’m going to adapt it for a kerchief or headband that I can wear year round.
And, no, I didn’t really think I’d wear a knitted swimsuit, I was just playing around with striping yarn.

  1. Lovely! You made good use of your time in the car and your extra yarn. I love how you photographed and displayed your creation. Glad to see you back!

  2. Thank you, Vanessa, and, yes it does!

Thanks Ninotchka and Gail! These photos were rough, but it was late and I'm still doing that pesky 365 project, so I just processed the heck out of them.
