I’m doing it. I don’t think it will ever replace knitting as my second-nature hobby, but I want this skill in my arsenal. Maybe it’s the inspiration from Kollabora. (Yes, I have already cut up a tons of t-shirt yarn for a crocheted basket.)
Maybe it’s the awesome crochet hook sale I happened upon. These hooks were about 40% off when I bought them on Amazon. I think they are still part of some kind of sale on Knit Picks, if you’re interested. They are so cute and retro, it’s like they belong next to the Pyrex and Tupperware in the kitchen. They have to produce something good.
Most likely, my inspiration for learning crochet is because this is happening Monday. So, you see, I really don’t have a choice.
I don’t know why I have put off learning it for this long. My grandmother loved to crochet at one time. I still use her afghan when we watch tv at night. I also have had Debbie Stoller’s Happy Hooker book for years and never made a thing from it.
