Evening Light, Straight Out of the Camera

…at least I think it’s straight out of  the camera.  After reading a rather heated debate on Flickr groups about what is SOOC and what isn’t, I’m wondering if I’ll be tarred and feathered for not knowing all the functions on my “new” camera.

But, lately I’ve been trying to leave my photos alone and let them be what they will.  Obviously not all of them (Remember the acid trip tree?), but some.   I keep meaning to learn more post processing tricks, but get bored after adjusting exposure, contrast, and prefab edits like the “retro, grainy, cross- processed, rounded corner, fuzzy, abomination” setting.
 I still haven’t found a “talented” setting.

I want to take more beautiful photographs that were just born that way with a click.   At least that’s what I want today.

Like it’s photo, this vine has been left alone to do what it will all winter.  It needs to be pruned, to be fruitful, but not just yet.

  1. Gosh, I didn't know there was such heated debate on SOOC. I thought it means what it says it means and that's it. I do love your photos here. The blues are amazing!

  2. Thank you, Lucy. I agree. I like them just the way God made them.

It's not that bad, Gail. I guess everyone has their own version of what is unedited. I was just afraid my cameras many functions that I haven't learned would get me in trouble. But, apparently, you can't edit accidentally. So, I'm safe :/
